P2A
A letter from our founders...
Dear Future Astrophysicists, Welcome to the Physics 2 Astrophysics Initiative, a venture born from our belief that the wonders of the universe should be accessible to all. Our mission is simple: to break down the barriers that make astrophysics seem out of reach for many high school students. P2A is not just a program; it's a bridge to the stars. We designed it with accessibility at its heart, ensuring that financial constraints or lack of prior experience don't deter passionate learners. This initiative is our response to the educational gap in science, offering a hands-on, engaging journey through the cosmos. Our excitement for P2A stems from the potential to ignite a spark of curiosity and passion for the universe in our students. It's about creating a community where young minds can explore, question, and discover together, regardless of their background. We believe in the power of education to inspire, and we're thrilled to share this adventure with you.Join us as we embark on this journey to explore the unknown. Together, let's uncover the mysteries of the cosmos and inspire a future where everyone can reach for the stars. With anticipation and joy,
Al & Aryan
Physics 2 Astrophysics 2025 Programing
Please Note: As we continue to refine this years course, the following details may change.
Weekly Schedule
Our online program utilizes Zoom for all meetings.
Elligibility
All students are welcome to apply, but historically students who are in high school and have had exposure to algebra/geometry will be most successful. You cannot apply if you've already completed your 1st semester of college. International students are welcome to apply, but keep in mind the time zone is currently fixed for 8:00 p.m. ET with limited potential to change these hours. This is UTC--04:00.
Problem Sets
Our problem sets are a challenging set of physics and astronomy projects assigned each week. Each set includes 5 physics and 5 astronomy problems. Some sets may include extra credit problems.
Tuition - $75
Our program is designed to be financial accessible. We work to ensure that students can continue work and family responsibilities during the summer, while maintaining a meaningful experience learning astrophysics. For this reason, our tuition price is lower than similar program offerings. Tuition is $75. Accepted applicants are welcome to apply for need-based financial aid where tuition is waived.
